Burgundy Bliss

Nothing screams fall to me more than changing over the colors of the items hanging in my closet. While my love for cool tones and blushes knows no bounds, it’s the rich jewel tones and fabulous textures that I get most excited about during the change in season.

I went on an online shopping hunt recently for a few new pieces in my favorite fall color of all, burgundy, or, as it’s more often called, oxblood. Rawr. And my favorite shopping destination, Nordstrom, did not disappoint.

There were a ton of beautiful options, but none more decadent than this Free People dress with layered chiffon and crushed velvet. It’s romantic, chic, and playful all of the same time. I love the idea of over-the-knee boots with this dress and opted for a sky high tan version for an extra luxe touch.

All of the fall vibes and universally flattering — trust me, my post-baby mom bod was feeling all kinds of lovely in this little Free People dress — so it easily checked all of my boxes. Comes in black, too!
