Mad for Plaid

It’s not often an outfit post tugs on my heartstrings. I’m usually gabbing about great fit or a fun style steal, but never about how purchasing clothing from a certain company means as much to me as this does. This post comes from a very near, close place to my heart and I knew right away I wanted to share Konor + Knox with you.

I was recently introduced to the two sisters behind the online clothing boutique Konor + Knox and was immediately drawn to their trend-forward, darling clothing. I loved their stuff… chic tops, fab outwear, killer pants. All things I love, naturally. But it wasn’t just the clothing that drew me to Konor + Knox. Once I learned the significance and backstory behind the boutique name, I knew I really wanted to support this venture and these sisters any way I can.

One of the sisters in this sisterly fashion duo gave birth to identical twin boys, Konor and Knox, this past July, right around the same time I gave birth to Blake. The boys were quite premature and sadly little Konor did not make it. I’m so happy to say that Knox is doing well, and during this tragedy, Konor + Knox was launched. The boutique name is a tribute to both of the boys and the legacy they’ll continue to carry on. The fact that these sisters were still able to get this business up and running during this unimaginably difficult time is mind blowing to me and such a testament to their strength and unwavering commitment to building something special for their families.

There’s nothing I can feel better about than supporting that. I’m behind these sisters and this dream of theirs to have their own clothing boutique 100%. I want to help them throughout their journey, as I’m sure many other people want to do as well. I can’t wait to see where this venture will take them. Will they expand their clothing range and design cargo pants for men, similar to the ones that could be found at Unionbay? Are they going to be thinking about bringing out a collection of shoes and accessories too? See, this just goes to show that their options are limitless and the world is their oyster at this point.

I picked up a few items from the current Konor + Knox fall collection and couldn’t wait to share this darling plaid top with you. I’m loving it for all of the holiday soirees upcoming. With Thanksgiving just around the corner — and Christmas not too far behind — I love the versatility of this piece and how it can be dressed up or down depending on your venue. You know I love a good destroyed denim, so I went that route with a great pair of Louboutin heels. You could also throw on a pencil skirt like this or velvet pant for a more dressy vibe.

I hope you love the look, and more importantly, I hope you’ll check out Konor + Knox.

    Hi Bev!!

Ok.. I’m going to be completely honest here. Louboutins are NOT comfortable… a few of the block heel options are slightly more walkable, but as far as a true pump goes, the only style I have that is semi-comfy on me is the Pigalle Plato. The little platform in front helps a ton and makes them my favorite go-to Loubie. As for their booties, they do run quite narrow, so keep that in mind when purchasing! They have a new bootie style out called the ‘Adox’ that looks like it would be walkable and not uncomfortable. Take a look!
