Saint Laurent Style

I know what you’re thinking… “ummm, this doesn’t look like Winter in Chicago.” And you know what? You’re absolutely right, it’s certainly not. Breezy maxi dresses and open-toed heels are not Midwestern winter staples in the slightest. However, this is what happens when you get a little bite from the wanderlust bug and set your sights on sunnier pastures.

I packed up and hit the road – err, sky – for some West Coast time in fabulous San Diego. I figured it was the perfect place to debut this uber-glam Saint Laurent Matelasse Shoulder Bag and break away from the winter doldrums. Boy was I right! Can I just tell you how therapeutic a little sun and sand are for a gal’s psyche — plus the new bag didn’t hurt either [wink]. Pairing this chic envelope bag with a flowy, floral maxi and lace-up heels was a blissful boho chic combo and one I can’t wait to rock again when it thaws out a bit back home.

I love the idea of this outfit for a wedding, date night, or a slightly more formal daytime event. A maxi with sleeves is always ideal when looking to go a bit more edgy and a lot less beachy. Plus, there’s just something I LOVE about a dress with sleeves. It’s always my preferred go-to.

Lace-Up Heels: VINCE CAMUTO

If you’re feeling this look may be a bit too “California” for your winterized closet, don’t worry! Put this in your pocket ’til Spring… it’s just around the corner, I promise.

Love the whole look. I hope you get spring very soon. Glad you had a bit of California to thaw you out. And yes…the bag is pure perfection.

Thanks!! We had the best time… I’m already ready for a return visit. Or at least to start planning a Kauai visit in August [wink] — I need some of that Aloha air!

      xx
