Rub-a-dub-dub, baby Blake is in the tub!
You know the saying, ‘The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree?’ Well, I couldn’t be more excited to share that my little apple loves bath time just as much as his mommy does. Bath time has always been my favorite part of the day – rarely skipping a bath – there are always bubbles and splashes abound in our household. Blake has followed in my fondness for the soak life and nothing lights up his face quite like his evening bathing ritual. There have been times when I wondered if it would be safer to have wet room installation with a small child, and you could still use all of these lovely products in a shower, but maybe I’ll save that for when I’m older as there’s something so special about watching them float around in the bubbles having a lovely time.
Along with all of the bath time fun also came a few concerns (doesn’t all facets of parenting?). We quickly realized how important choosing naturally derived baby bath time products are. With Blake, his hands are in his mouth constantly (hello, teething!) and I started worrying immediately about the chemicals that might be making their way into his mouth from the products we were using in the bath. We love to start with their dreamy lavender bubble bath in warm water since we do Blake’s bath before bed. It’s the perfect scent to help calm and relax. On the occasions we do morning or daytime baths, I’ll switch it up and use the citrusy and delicious sweet orange vanilla scent. The Honest bubble bath is super foamy – which I LOVE! – while the chamomile and calendula help gently soothe and nourish Blake’s baby soft skin and copious rolls.
We’ve been loving shampooing Blake’s fabulously long locks with the two-in-one shampoo and body wash (also in dreamy lavender).
