I’m a shopaholic. I admit it. I love to shop, and always have, ain’t no secret there. But with my 35 weeks preggo belly bigger than ever, clothes haven’t been as heavy on the radar lately. I hate buying things that I know won’t work or fit postpartum, so instead I’ve been on a rampage lately buying up new fall boots for this fall/winter season.
I think that’s why I have such an affinity for shoes… no matter the reason or the season, they always fit.
If you follow me religiously on Instagram – and of course I’m hoping that you do – then you know, my 2am “insomnia” shopping sprees have become quite the thing. Since I can’t seem to sleep during this third trimester phase of pregnancy, I’ve been up at night, browsing away into the wee hours, and sharing my online shopping finds, fab sale deals, and impulse purchases. If you haven’t tuned in yet, you really should, it’s a hilarious blend of ridiculousness, great finds, and fun late night shenanigans.
Since so many of these 2am transactions have been boots, I decided to do a round up of some of my now tried and true favs, plus other lovelies that are on my current wishlist. It’s a great mix of basics, statement boots, everyday booties and dress-up-wow-em-splurges.
I’ve picked out quite the array, but there is certainly something for everybody and/or every occasion. If you’re feeling a bit more fashion forward, I’d strongly urge you to pick up a snakeskin or croc print boot for this season. They are all the rage this fall, are super chic, and give an amazing little oomph to any outfit!
Of course, leopard is still in full swing on the trend scale, so I’m sharing my most loved Marc Fisher pony hair pair in addition to a great new leopard sock boot that I’m coveting massively.
If you don’t have a great over the knee boot yet, do yourself a favor and get at least one for your closet. If the last few boot seasons have taught us anything, it is that OTK is here to stay!
