Florals + Fringe

What is more delicate and seasonally on-point than something fabulously floral for the warm weather months? I noticed recently I’ve been reaching for my flowery frocks before anything else lately… floral kimonos, floral dresses, my favorite blazer adorned with tons of graphic print fauna. I guess April showers do bring May flowers… all over every article of clothing I want to wear.

‘Tis the season to bid adieu to the dark and heavy and bust out the silky and pretty. I did just that recently in a soft lilac floral dress with a gorg floral print and sexy cut away sleeves. I had originally opted for a nude heel with this dress which was totally the safe bet (yawn) and decided last minute to switch it up with a suede fringe heel (hooray) that gave this look just the right amount of edge. I always like a little element of surprise with my looks and trading out the “pretty pretty” heel for something funky was the perfect ‘hellooooo there’ moment for this dress.

I was a little nervous to buy a non-maternity dress this far along in my pregnancy, but sizing up on this dress from Vici did the trick. I love this dress for a million different things — it’s super versatile — and can be worn day-to-evening, girls night out to date night, shower to garden party. Sadly, my heels are from last summer and are running very low on stock, but I found them in a few sizes plus added a few dupes for you in the shopping links below.

SHOP THE LOOK

DRESS: Vici
HEELS: Nine West (similar here and here)
SUNGLASSES: Diff Eyewear (use code TASTY25 for 25% OFF)

It’s such an effortless and affordable look when it’s all pulled together, right?? — let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
