Do I sound like I’m tooting my own horn if I say I really, really loved this look? Well, TOOT TOOT, I’m just going to own it. I truly adored this fun, sweet and edgy – holla for a three for one! – spring ensemble that I threw together from a few old pieces in my closet and one new, super affordable floral tunic.

I pretty much go crazy every season stocking my closet with a generous handful of new pieces and the latest trends, but this season I had to push the pause button on my online shopping habit in favor of a bit of saving. If you haven’t heard, we’re moving in just a few weeks – yay! – and if any of you have moved before, you know the stress and expense of it all are both very real. So, I allowed myself a very (repeat: VERY) modest budget for a few spring pieces and this floral tunic was one of them.

I initially thought I could wear this piece as a dress (wrong), but I’m 5’6″ and it was a total no go for someone my height. A more petite frame might be able to get away with it, but I decided wearing this boho floral tunic with some fab heels and my favorite pair of distressed denim – these should be in EVERY girl’s closet – would give it some edge and make it the perfect day-to-evening look for the warmer temps.

As with anything, it’s all about the details, right? Jazzing up the floral tunic with some fun suede heels and the “it” bag I splurged on last year (but luckily found an amazing price-friendly dupe here for you), really made this an easy, but standout look.

It was majorly fabulous to pull together such a cute look under $35. One new top + a bunch of staples from the closet gave me all the inspo I needed to get spring-ready in a snap.
